Here is a nicely shot close up, above, for you serious spiral phreaks, so you can see how good I have gotten at finishing clasps, and below is
"Trinky"
Is that not the cutest name you ever thought of??? Apparently it is the cutest name I could come up with for a seed bead and Swarovski spiral, which actually DOES have a pattern, even if you can't see it. Trinky, oh Trinky! You were going to be named "something Da Vinci", or "something George Costanza's Festivus", but it became clear, as I neared finishing you, that you ultimately would end up with this name.I guess these are classic colors. Therefore: I dub thee:
Trinky of the Trinket Family, from the Isle of Wight.
Although these colors sort of remind me of the old Howard Johnson restaurants on the parkways, too. Ah! Good times.
Anyone else want to suggest a name, you are welcome to. This doesn't mean you win anything. I am really awful about my spirals. I hate sharing. I love them all too dearly. But you would certainly have my good will and I would devote full interest and consideration to your suggestion! So go ahead and try and top Trinky! I double dare ya.
The Dichroic clasp is a beaut and I shall have to revert to my original plan, when I become more adept at right angle weave, and use it for a bracelet of that sort. I then will use the button I am saving for this one, on this, if I can find it! (Always a problem for me!).

Please, oh please, name something Festivus. My friend and I used to have a Festivus celebration each year. We also used to consider how "Feats of Strength" would end up in various families. Hey, we drove through 43 states together. You have some weird conversations by state 3 or so.
I still have to write a paper. And I'm sick.
But hey, I'm ok!!
I'll name something Festivus sometime, ok? but Trinky stays Trinky for now...!!!Consider Festivus considered however. And saved for later. like the button!
Feats of strength! ha!
I am sorry you have a paper and I am doubly sorry you are sick!!! ack!!!
Thanks for stopping over at my blog (I'm a friend of Tracy and June). I came over here for a peek at your work and wow, I'm amazed. This piece is just beautiful!
Wow! You are GREAT at hiding the clasps!
And Howard Johnson's? That is a nice memory. For our annual summer vacation (1970s, mind you), my mom would take me to Atlantic City. We would hop in her '72 Volkswagen Beetle and go. The only restaurant she stopped at was HoJo's! I miss that and the boardwalk, collecting shells, going to the Planter's Peanut place, and riding the tandem bike. We stopped going when the casinos moved in...
HoJos! Hee.
These are really shaping up. I love that color combo, it's classic indeed.
Trinky is a great name.
Hope you're feeling a little better?
