Champagne Chandeliers! by jean yates 2008
I have added this pair of earrings , "Champagne Chandeliers" to this entry for my bead blogging link later this week. Isn't that clever? How do you like the name? Aren't the little multicolored bicones pretty and interesting? I would like to add more, but I need to quit for tonight. I may add more little crystals at a later time! sexy, sexy sexy. Things with motion are like that, you know?
These awards have been given to two people who do not know each other, but that doesn't matter: they both are meaningful to me. The above award was given to Aard (Cathy Lybarger) and it simply is totally true: she is the sweetest-funniest. That is a knockout of a combo, eh? Plus, as you know, I am enamored of her beads, because they are awesome! Thanks, Cathy for being so FINE! (pronounced "fahne"! or even "soopah-fahne"!)
See her award posted on her blog, here!: http://aardvarkartglass.wordpress.com/
This next award was created for Jafabrit, a brilliant person who is a source of fascinnnnnaaaation to me. I like that she is very creative and thoughtful, and she breaks the rules and she is fun and loves life and loves making art. I wanted to express that with this award, so I gave her bright colors, like the war paint and fork photo she showed on her blog once! That was amazing. Amazing! Here is her blog! Get ready! http://jafabrit.blogspot.com/

So those are a few of my awards I wanted to post today.

So those are a few of my awards I wanted to post today.

I actually wanted to photograph the above on blue because the title was Ice Storm, and the only blue I had was the underside of my own jewelry boxes, which say Pretty Kitty Dog Moon on the tops so if you think you are seeing things, it is possible you are....n't. Look at the waaay tops of these earrings however: that is where the art beads are: those are sterling Penny Michellehttp://www.pennymichelle.com/ stars, which are different on the back! I love how she does that! I love them and find a million uses for her findings--you can make line bracelets with stones or lampwork, or charm bracelets (she has sweet hearts!) or you can use her sterling wraps around lampwork or porcelain and wrap up some fantastic and witty earrings, key rings, pendants, you name it. Her site is fantastic. So I made this for Art Bead Scene and I hope they will accept it. I shall go now and post it on Flickr.com!
Note: Scrapbook friends of mine: on Penny's charm page, around 2/3 rd of the way down, http://www.pennymichelle.com/charms.html you will find terrific scrapping charms.
By the way. I know what a "BRAD" is, as of this morning. This knowledge makes me want to leap for joy because all paths are open to me now!!! I mean, a grommet is one thing, but a brad! Be still, my heart!

i can't even tell you how much beading i got done during the last monk marathon was on usa.
hahahahahha I KNOW! it's crazy, isn't it??? what a gift they give us when they do this this to us!!!
You are too cute...your enthusiasm for learning what a "brad" is rivals my dh. Back when my only hobbies were cross-stitching and knitting (and reading), dh would always ask, "What are you sewing?" Funny boy. Now he prides himself on his new vocabulary when I ask his opinion on a card or scrapbook page :) He now knows brad, vellum, embossing, Marvvy markers, eyelets, QuicKutz, QK Revolution, die cuts, etc. And his popular answer when I need his opinion, "Less is more."
HAHAHAH YOUR HUSBAND SOUNDS COOL and ENCHANTING! I need to learn those terms as quickly as possible!
I want to learn scrapspeak!!!
xox
gosh, I feel really a bit gobsmacked, but Jean thankyou, it has made me chuffed as mintballs (and that is a good thing :)
I had fun looking at the links and wow, those mask beads are really amazing.
I suppose you will want to see my austin powers look, also known as austina?
of course I want to see your austina photo!!! begging here!
xox also, thans for the crazy idoms. i have a site...;ooking it up:
think it is called "English slang"--no that is not quite it. people who don't like swear words--watch out! http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/a.htm
I used to tease my friend Emma Ralph with some crazy Britsh slang as she is from tht fabulous place!
i noticed the psych marathon too :-) like i need to watch more tv - well actually i do.
anyway i love those little charms - how cute are they! i noticed there was glue, pen, scissors, ink pad and ink - what a clever girl.
and brads - you crack me up.
june's husband is definitely a keeper :-) i'll keep mine too - he has even rubber stamped (and said it was fun! you gotta love men who will do this for you yaknow?))
and those earrings are beeyouteefull!
Tracy: isn't Psych fun? anything with humor in it on a consistent basis hooks me immediately. But I'm not saying any old humor. GOOD humor.
Why they stuck that on in the middle of a Friday is beyond me!!! That at least a Saturday!!! geesh!
Thanks re: earrings: you are sweet to mention them! I love Penny's site!
