Jean's a Gypsy Hoop Earrings

Jean's a Gypsy Hoop Earrings by Jean Yates, 2008

Hey! Ornament Thursdayhttp://www.ornamentthursday.blogspot.com/ was quite an experience for all of us who participated. I hope you enjoyed it. I was thrilled, personally, to be a part of it.

After all was said and done, I retired to my quieter "Jean-side" ( yeah, I've got one...it involves soup, or tea, and television) and made these fabulous large hoops. I mean, they are not as large as some of the hoops I made for my book, Links, believe it or not!, but they are a fine big size for a hoop, and they move and shimmer in the light. That Swarovski crystal color is called "Heliotrope" and I cannot think of a more glamorous blue. So these are my "Jean's a Gypsy Hoop" earrings. They definitely relate to my past life, as a gypsy. Did you know me then? I was the one who was racing after Jim, as usual, and I had a tambourine with colored ribbons streaming in the breeze, which I would play enthusiastically, and I was usually having a bad hair day. Some things never change!
ps: Get your Jean's a Gypsy Hoops here! Be your own gypsy! I can make these for you in these fab colors, or in Saucy Silvers, or luminous feminine Light Rose, and possibly even a few other gorgeous colors which I haven't even mentioned, for $55.00. Not bad! Just email me and make a request! I am prompt (Virgo trait), I am good (whatever!), and I love wire wrapping, as you know!
And this pair...this pair stays with me!

Oh, I bet I did know you then. I so wish I knew of a good part-life person who could tell me all about it. I'll bet when your gypsy troupe came to town I was mesmerized by your talent, charm, and free spirit.

I got to see Tracy yesterday!!! She brought me a fabulous tee and a note from you. Thank you!!! I LOVE red & purple together :)

June! I am so happy you both got to "win" -- I wanted you to have a T shirt when Tracy won because I think of both of you as being sort of together, and love you so much!

Jean (the bean)

My wild gypsy friend, I love these earrings! They are elegant and also saucy. Like their creatrix, Mistress Jean of the thousand veils.

I think...now don't quote me...but I think I'm finished making show swag. I made my last pair of matching earrings two minutes ago. I'm feeling so craptastic I must go to lie down.

I can not wait to see you in these yummy earrings.

xoxo

Ahahaha!!! I love you Margot!
I felt pretty "craptacular" when I finished these!

They look darn good when you fling your head around, like one of those wild ponies on Chincoteague (sp?) Island!

Just call me Misty!

Sarah: I was just thinking of you today and reading your rockinly great zine. In fact, it is open to page 44 (and 45!). Is there anywhere I can review it? I really LOVE it SO much!

Glad you like these earrings. I feel cool when I wear them. You would look SO beautiful in them!

I have to jump in since you mentioned Chincoteague Island ... I feel it is part of of my mission in life to warn people who idealize that place or aspire to visit (not that you do, but still), that it is really only pleasant if you are, in fact, a walking can of insect repellent.

(We sent a group of campers there once for an overnight trip. I still haven't heard the end of it.)

You can review it on the site - we had a glitch with our Issn number so it's not on Amazon at the moment.
Here's where to go if ya wanna review!
Thanks!
