Summer Thoughts
close up shows the pendant, which is actually a toggle circle with a tiny summery daisy and jonquil colored crystals

My favorite "beachy" necklace, which I made from brass Vintaj http://vintaj.com/findings and Swarovski crystals. I used the bicone shape for the crystals to have a look like Japanese lanterns, something my family had used as outdoor lighting at parties in the summer. The soft glow was so memorable to me, I love it still! The little seahorses back to back, as I may have written here before, were the actual symbol of our beach club, founded in the 1800's. This necklace was published in a summer edition of Stringing Magazine.
I cannot believe it is the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend, "unofficial start of summer". QUICK SOMEBODY MAKE IT THE OFFICIAL START OF SUMMER CAUSE JEAN IS SO SICK OF THAT PHRASE, "unofficial start of summer" ! Gah!
Time is Flying. I have been working as I said, and we just sent off a big pile of stuff to a place. That is all I am going to say about that. Except that I want to add that I wasn't sending it until I got "the right tissue paper and bubble wrap". Jim did not understand the depth and intensity of my feelings about this until I collapsed in a puddle of tears one day, after he had tried to get me to recycle dark blackish colored tissue paper from somewhere, and some used bubble wrap from QVC which had wrapped up some of our eighty million lawn ornaments, very sensible of him I am sure, but not my style. So then he went out and got me the real new pretty deal.
Now that that has been sent, I can look toward my writing, which is very exciting. Oh look, an unintentional rhyme. Apparently I am fated to become a poet. Goodness!
I have some deadlines for Art Bead Scene http://www.artbeadscene.blogspot.com/ (how did I get so lucky? Whoo hoo! Thank you, Heather and Melanie!) and Soft Flex Company http://www.softflexcompany.com/(thank you, Sara! and also Lisa Kan http://www.lisakan.com/ --she helped by suggesting me!) and I even have some deadlines for Australian Beading Magazine, which is like a dream come true for me. The fact that all of these places want me to write for them makes me so happy. My hands hurt, but I am HAPPY. And remember I get my free stuff from my Amazon "vine" program, which is just the icing on the cake! Wondering here for a second: Will I ever run out of words?
Nope! Hooray! :)

Hahah Tracy...isn't summer just the best? I used to have other seasons that were my favorite...for example, the fact that we live here in the Northeast certainly makes autmn have a big beautiful impact...but summer is so FUN! Hooray for summer!
