Australian Beading Magazine: Our Beading World column, first time around--Jean doesn't have a scanner. good grief why. She should
Hit on any of the photos below to enlarge and you might actually be able to read what we wrote! FUN!
yeth, itth's trueth! We don't have a scanner. so you have to look at photos of photos. ARRRGH!
...well we DO have one, but we have never unpacked it or hooked it up. I don't even know what a scanner looks like, therefore. I figure it looks like a old fashioned ironing press, the George Foreman Grill, or like an electric waffle iron.
At least it does in my head. Oh! Not the waffle iron which makes the heart shaped waffles, just the regular waffles. Can you tell I am eating as I type this? I sure am not ironing. The last thing that saw any iron around here was ME, when I got anemic a few years back. Those pills fixed me right up. Anway, if you start at the top I will explain this fantastic spread we received in our inital column in the fabulous magazine, Australian Beading Magazine.
I would like to thank Lisa for my first introduction to Kelly! Thanks Lisa!
Here is the glamorous Australian Beading Magazine cover, shot by moi. Pretty lousy pic of a lovely cover. Sorry!

Below is our logo! Yes! We have a logo! I want a sticker for my car!!!!! Whoo hoo!
Here is a general idea of the layout of the first two pages. Gripping? it was to me.

Here below is my coverage of a Shibuichi metal cast piece from Green Girl Studios http://www.greengirlstudios.com/ with a great photo (by Lisa! yay!). I own this Shibu fairy which was given to me by that fine family business, which I adore. I love me some Cynthia and some Greg. Oh gee, I have never said that idiomatic phrase! So "way young for me" before. hahahaah. But I do! I love them! You can see the two colors of the Shibu as it glints in the light! What a rockingly cool metal in their hands!

This is neat. We get to do book reviews! This is Warm Fuzzies by Betz White ! Note smaller photo--that is in the book! How to make a pinwheel pin! Jim has one, as some of you may recall---I made it out in CA, at CHA, where I met Betz. Really nice person. Here is her etsy store:

Oh and a cool surprise. We were joined by none other than HEATHER, of Beadin' Path http://www.beadinpath.com/ located in Maine, talking about trends as well! The more the merrier, I say! I adore that store!
Yeah mon, we don't have a scanner.
So...
Covered by me. Her photos!
Lisa also wrote about a lovely silk ribbon store, http://silkpaintingisfun.com/ which has glorious ribbon. The logo you see at the top of this entry is encircled by ribbons from selctions made from that store, I am figuring! Really superpretty and elegant.
Lisa discussed as well her walk to raise funds for The Susan B. Komen Cure for breast cancer research, as a part of a team with the wonderful Sara of Soft Flex Company. They will comprise Team Beadalicious which includes Sara's cousin as well. Please visit Lisa's website for more information!
Finally, Lisa wrote about the glorious sterling silver Extreme and Metallics flex beading wires from Soft Flex. They are dreamy! http://www.softflexcompany.com/
