The final rendition of the necklace I am wearing today! Inspired by our dragonfly outside this morning...
I am in LOVE with these colors this summer! Wearing this little necklace right now! The rubber keeps it from sliding and listing off to the left-- Oh! --later...I changed that with a cool pewter toggle circle from Green Girl Studios http://www.greengirlstudios.com/, which balances it all nicely! On one side Melanie's flower bead is holding court, decorated with lime crystal colored Swarovskis! Here is her link:http://www.earthenwoodstudio.com/html/bead_store.htmlI love her Earthenwood stuff! And I love Green Girl Studios!
closer look! she is so hip! check the post below (my 500th!) for the reason I made this necklace this morning...
Early morning, 7 am, photo taken by our front door, after the storm. Jim really loves flowers.
Our little dragonfly is back, from last year. These guys LOVE striking a pose. When my comp crashed, I lost all my dragonfly photos and I was so disappointed! I had snuck up on one and spent ages taking his picture sitting on a fake dragonfly. I doubt I will get a shot like that again. But anyway...
Hooray! Back again in the early morning after a horrendous storm. This area was really hit hard by the bad weather and this is the second time this week. We are grateful it all worked out for us. The children get pretty upset during bad storms...and so do our cat and dog! I think I heard it will be cooler today. Phew!
What is that saying? everyone talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it? It is SO TRUE!
It has been so freaky around here...and look at B&B--they had a lockdown due to a tornado warning. Yikes! I wonder what that was like!!! I am glad all turned out well.

hi stranger :-)
sorry about the storms. we had one yesterday but not too bad..... last week there were tornadoes and the kids got held at school til the danger had passed. lots of roads closed, power out
glad you all are ok. the heat got broken by ours so maybe only 88 today -yeah.. and the kitties here dont like storms either
hi Tracy! Hope you are well! I am now posting my dragonfly necklace, inspired by the early morning visitor! xox!
I love dragonflies. Back in Seattle, one landed at my feet and died... wonder what that means! I put it in a box and kept it. Think I still have it. Seemed like something important at the time. Hope today is calmer and cooler there!
Kim...it meant it had completed its cycle and YOU were the wonder of the heaven it would know. I expect it came back as a higher being--a person!
Putting it in a box is a thoughtful thing!
I love dragonflies and I LOVE your necklace :)
BTW, P.H. & S.D. look maaaaahhhhvelous. I know you love and adore your 5 sons, but aren't girls fun?!
Thans re: girls and THANKS re: necklacle! You are totally sweet to say all the nice things you say!
That is why you are JUNE!
Oh, I love this necklace! Dragonflies are a favorite of mine, too. We had some dodgy weather around here, too, early this week, but it's now back to being high 80s and HUMID.
"eighties and humid" make me want to join that koi in your pretty bead, Melissa!
