Felted Bag by Kim Miles! photo by Kimand here is what she says:
"I've been working on some wonderful felted bags since before I went to Ethiopia. My idea is to sell them, and donate most of the money back to Project Mercy. I'll keep just enough to buy more yarn for the next one. Here are some pictures to get you interested. I hand knit the bags, and then felt them so they're thick, and soft, and strong. Some of them have great big Kim-Made beads on them too. Once I get them priced, I'll post them individually. Stay tuned!"
That is right! Kim is amazing me all over again, AS USUAL, by reinventing the wheel, Kim Style. Whenever I think Kim has gotten a great idea and she is going to continue to do it, she takes me by surprise and sometimes continues to do the same thing, or maybe she doesn't --and does something entirely different! Here is her bead shop address:http://kimmiles.bigcartel.com/
She blew me away today when I went over to her site and checked out the bags she is going to be offering ... for Project Mercy, all hand knitted, felted and sometimes beaded by her. I also saw the incredible caviar beads she is going to be offering as well, for other knitters and fabric artist to use in all sorts of ways in their projects. Reasonably priced, tiny little beauties, these beads are enchanted. Only Kim could think of such a thing and make them so exquisite. I don't think I can resist them for jewelry either. Just when I was complaining to her I was getting sort of bored. Hah! She has turned me on my head. That is what I love about Kim!

I love the altruism of it all! What a wonderful woman!
She is amazing. That is all there is to it! :)
I love beads and fiber, so what a great way to combine them. Her work rocks! I'm also a purse junkie. I've got one of those back of the door hangers for purses, and it's packed!
Tammy--just as with you...I never know what Kim is going to create next! You are both so multi talented!
