A-Z Alphabet Blogging Challenge: The letter O
I like O. I considered telling you about the time I bought The Story of O at age 9 because I thought the cover of the book was great, but when I showed my mother what I had bought while she was doing the grocery shopping, she got very quiet. In retrospect, I cannot believe my mother had even heard of this book. Anyway, we got home and she came to my room and explained politely that it wasn't a book which was appropriate for me to read and said she was going to return it to the store from which I had bought it.
I read so much it didn't matter to me. I had plenty of other books to read. Never have read it to this day.
However I do like Damien Rice's song Amie from his album "O" . I find it incredibly, transportingly beautiful. Here is where you can listen to it on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFiwfZK7ro4 I find this song so beautiful it is almost painful for me to listen to . I put Damien Rice in my book. I made a necklace and earring set called "Delicate" after one of his songs. It was very earthy and had tiny multicolored sapphires fringing the necklace and earrings.
However for today I have chosen O is for Off the Wall Personality
--my own personal board I created on my own Pinterest. It is one of my favorite boards because I put my heart and soul into it. Who doesn't like unscary, yet offbeat, things? Well, I don't know who doesn't . I am not out to frighten youse guyz, as we say here in Noo Yawk, I am simply holding a mirror up to the world , and "embracing the strange" as I have subtitled this board.
Here is are a couple of examples which are on this particular board:
One of my very first pins:
"You KNOW you want them"
and here is another, which I particularly like:

I so love this. It is perfect. I wish I owned it, and the shoes too. I know I could go REALLY far in life if I had both these items, but for now, I just admire them on my "Off the wall personality" Pinterest board.

Ha! Not the flipper stiletto type, eh? -- Or maybe you don't like the color blue?
:)
jean!
LOVE that t-shirt! :)
Me too ! thanks!
jean :)
Never heard of Damien Rice, but I love that song, it is beautiful. I will have to listen to more of him. And I LOVE the t-shirt too. Still deciding about the shoes - you would have to have the right outfit to wear with them :-)
I guess it is the fact that I grew up ten minutes from the Atlantic ocean that makes me like the flippers. You could go for a swim and then pop up the beach to the nearest evening soiree.
so convenient!!! :)
thanks Kim!
