Doing Nothing is not what it appears or How I tricked myself into doing SOMETHING after all by Jean Yates

I really "had no plans"  for this latter part of the week. I mean I seriously was not interested in doing much of anything. This is not my usual way of life, but for some reason, intead of pursuing my usual
OVERDONE, POWERED UP, PURSUIT OF THE STRANGE AND WEIRD THINGS I LOVE,
such as how to forage for acorns and make pasta from them, and then not doing it but feeling satisfied by the knowlege that I now know how to do it, IF I ever wanted to, I got a little overwhelmed. Then of course the crazy things which happen just happened.
I decided to sell some of my doll clothes on a Blythe forum and suddenly I am mailing out packets all over the world to avid Blythe fans who recognise good taste. I am only selling things which are not made from my dearest friends, and I am not selling things which I am not finished with. I am selling things which I have taken the best photo I think I will ever take using that item, and dispalying them well, and posting the photos. It is making me happy to think that other Blythe freaks will love these things and get a deal because they are used. Even if they were only used once! So it is hard work but it is fun,
even if it is actually really making me physically hurt from tension.
So then I was thinking about my son Jimmy in France and wondering how he was doing at the grand premiere of the movie Cameron Hughes directed in 3D, using Jimmy's band The Ruse(www.Rusemusic.com)  for all of the music. This is like a massive thing!  Here is the trailer for the movie: The kids are playing the background music, which they do for the whole film. The French people are loving the premiere of this movie, and The Ruse is playing live before each premiere in each place at which the film is playing. Of course I hadn't heard a thing from my son Jim because he is like that. But then an amazing thing happened. I got up this morning all tired and sort of bummed out about working so hard on selling these clothes (hey, it is money!) and I discovered that Jimmy had sent me a link at 2 last night, and I got all happy. I figured it was a link to all the amazing things which they are experiencing in Paris or somewhere in France. Then I went to the link and this is what I saw:
Mid-West Freestyle Canoe 2007 -- Marc Ornstein by Most_Watched_Videos I just couldn't believe it. This was MY amazing kid, just totally understanding who I am and what I love and remembering I am an '80s chick and thinking of me and chilling me out. Of course I cried and cried and cried. But I was filled up with love once again, and I think I understand a bit more about why the heck I keep going on. Thank you, Jimmy, I love you so much! love, Mom! xoxox (he never reads my blog hahahaha)
Back to "doing nothing"!
