Giveaway and big prizes from Margot Potter as well as Janet McDonald of Singing Glass, from observer to great bead maker

I would like to write a bit about Janet McDonald,  who has traveled from an observer in the art world, to a great bead maker!
Why and how does someone have this happen...this process ?
I will say one thing. It doesn't "just happen" to you...you Make it happen!
This is why I chose Janet for Margot Potter's blog hop with PRIZES this week!
Janet has many gifts, and I have indeed written about her before. She wrote a wonderful piece on fairy doors several years ago which I still love and refer back to.
However, that isn't the only thing which interests Janet. Janet loves beads and lampwork, or art glass, if you prefer. I remember being on Facebook the very first day Janet posted her VERY first lampwork bead! It was quite extraordinary! In fact, it didn't look like a "first bead" at all. It looked like a really really nice bead which any designer would go to any lengths to obtain for a jewelry design!
I was so impressed and proud for Janet.
Janet went on to take lessons from a famous bead artist. Her teacher, frankly was VERY fortunate to have a student like Janet, who has a discerning eye and is loaded with talent.
Janet has a blog now, and an Etsy shop. Although there is nothing in her store at the moment (hey, there is nothing right now in mine, either!), I love the name of her Etsy shop: Singing Glass, Handmade Lampwork by Janet McDonald.
How appropriate for a lovely person who does make her creations sing!

Janet's blog may be found here: http://janet-singingwoods.blogspot.com/
I am sorry that Janet isn't feeling well at the moment. I understand that. It happens to the best of us.
I am writing this and sending my love and lots of white light to Janet! She is that great combination of talented and kind.

Now on to Margot Potter's GREAT GIVEAWAY! Don't you just love giveaways? I do. I just said I wanted to win something yesterday on Facebook. However, this is the genuine EL Fabuloso
Giveaway of the WEEK!
Here is how to win and what you need to do to win!

Finally,

" The contest will be open until next Friday. Feel better! I know the frustration of being ill when there's something going on in your life. Hope you heal quickly! Love your beads.

I agree with the first comment, I like the name "Singing Glass." Thanks for doing this. I now have a lot of new blogs I'm following. I look forward to reading your future posts. I also hope to win the shameless self-promotion book. Self-promotion seems like a foreign concept to me. Thanks again!!

I'm having a great afternoon, traveling around this blog hop. I am a paper crafter, so it is very interesting to see what is going on in other parts of the crafting world.
Thanks.

I love your stuff! I may have to get a copy of YOUR book for my Ceramics & Crafts class - we do fine craft such as jewelry and bookbinding.

I am interested in the contest book because I work full time and only have a limited time to create and promote. I am at a loss - should I write a blog? Make a website? A facebook business page? An etsy site? I don't know where to begin!
